When is the upgrade from Seedance 1.5 to 2.0 useful?

The main table uses 1.5 Pro Fast, the default 1.5 model in this tool. Standard 1.5 Pro text generation has separate rates.

Use 2.0 for 13–15 seconds or 4K

These output options exceed the connected 1.5 Pro Fast limits. If your delivery requires them, select 2.0 before refining the prompt.

Use 1.5 Fast for inexpensive iterations

At 720p with audio, a 5-second Fast attempt uses 5 credits compared with 27 for 2.0. This lets you test more framing and motion ideas within the same credit budget.

Audio support is available in both

Do not upgrade solely to add sound: 1.5 already supports it. Compare speech and synchronization on the scene you intend to use.

How to write a prompt and generate

1

Choose a shared resolution

Use 720p or 1080p for the comparison so both versions receive compatible settings.

2

Keep the prompt and audio consistent

Start with 5 seconds and use the same sound setting. Check the cost shown after switching the model.

3

Decide whether the difference helps your project

Look for motion errors, changing faces or labels, and unwanted camera moves. Spend more only when the result meets a need the cheaper option does not.

A prompt you can adapt

A golden retriever waits beside a garden gate, then turns its head toward the camera. Eye-level medium shot, soft morning light, subtle leaf movement in the background. 5 seconds, gentle outdoor ambience.

Seedance 2.0 vs Seedance 1.5 Pro Fast FAQ

What is the difference between Seedance 2.0 and 1.5 Pro Fast?

In this tool, 2.0 allows 4–15 seconds and up to 4K. Fast allows 4–12 seconds at 720p or 1080p and costs fewer credits. Both support text, image, and optional generated audio.

Is Seedance 1.5 Pro still useful for video generation?

It can be useful for short shots and prompt experiments when the result meets your needs. A version change is most useful when it fixes a concrete limitation in your scene or output requirements.

How much cheaper is Seedance 1.5 Pro Fast?

A 5-second 720p clip with audio costs 5 credits on Fast and 27 on 2.0. With audio off, Fast costs 3 credits while 2.0 remains 27. These are this site’s generation credits, not provider dollar prices.

Does Seedance 1.5 support sound and lip sync?

The 1.5 Pro model family generates audio and video together. Include a short spoken line when testing dialogue, then inspect the timing. Audio support alone does not guarantee accurate lip sync for every output.

Can I compare standard 1.5 Pro instead of Fast?

Yes. Switch to text-to-video and select Seedance 1.5 Pro in the model list. Its 5-second 720p rate is 7 credits with audio or 4 without it. The table above explicitly compares Fast.
